1 Night in Copenhagen, Denmark

 May 20, 2007

From the pier where Costa Magica docked, we walked to find the train station which would bring us to the city where we would try to find our hotel which I booked online while still in Surrey.

We found the train station by asking about two people on the streets which was a good experience because most Danish people speak English.  It was just a few blocks away, not too near but not too far.

We talked to fellow Filipinos we met on the train station.  One even offered to accomodate us for the night in his apartment.  He then accompanied us to our hotel which was very near the central station.  Great guy.

We checked-in, we used their free internet to check and send emails, we went out on a walking tour and a sea bus tour.

We checked out their groceries prices which we found to be higher than prices in Canada.  Denmark and other Scandinavian countries are known for being very expensive places to visit.

A simple Chinese restaurant dinner cost Cad.$40. for two.

Sea bus tour cost Cad $50. for two.

Fare from the pier to Central - Mar bought the tickets from the machine - turned out to be almost Cad. 30 for two.

Fare from Central Station to the airport - Cad. 8 for two.

It was a good one day visit but that was about it for me with Scandinavian countries.

May 21 we flew from Copenhagen to Milan.

Cheers.
