Copenhagen, Denmark to Mantova, Italy

May 21, 2007

We had two big luggages which were exceeding in weight so we had to remove jackets and stuff more stuff on our carry-on backpacks till it was bursting and we had to carry winter jackets in our hands in May which was technically Spring but thanks to global warming, it was already summer-like hot in Europe at that time.

Our budget flight took us to Malpensa Airport in Milan.  We then took a bus which brought us to Milano Centrale.  Mar was able to buy a SIM card here for our Motorola world phone which we bought in Surrey.  Purchase of the SIM card was restricted and Mar had to show them his passport which they needed to get information from.

I remember being in Milano Centrale 8 years ago on our very first trip to Europe which understandably was more exciting than the this one - second.

This explains partly why we were not totally newbies and naive at this time and were feeling confident and not too stressed out and partly because we've googled a lot of information prior to our trip which were helping us.

Our train ride from Milan to Mantova was about 2 hours and cost Euro17.00 for two.

We waited a little bit for my niece Regina whom I haven't seen in 5 years, we had a nice reunion in the train station then 25 kms. later we arrived in her brand new home which was huge and built with money from their savings which means they did not need to borrow from the bank to finance this house.

In summary we had the following transportations:
train to Copenhagen Airport
plane to Malpensa Airport
bus to Milano Centrale
train to Mantova
car to Gazoldo, a municipality in the province of Mantova

Till next time.  Cheers.
